On Thursday, 20 November 2025, an official ceremony was held at An-Najah University (Nablus) in the presence of the university’s president, Abdel Nasser Zaid, several professors and members of An-Najah University, as well as colleagues from the Jerusalem branch of the Institut français du Proche-Orient (Ifpo), to formalize the signing of a three-year agreement between the Department of Medieval and Modern Arabic Studies (DEAMM) at Ifpo, represented by Mehdi Berriah, and the Department of Shariʿa at An-Najah University, represented by Jamal Zaid al-Kilani, Dean of the Faculty of Shariʿa and President of ANCERS (An-Najah Center for Religious Studies). This agreement aims to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions through joint research projects, academic activities, and student training, under the coordination of Mehdi Berriah (Ifpo) and Professor Jamal Zaid al-Kilani (An-Najah University).
